Richard Montpellier’s 40 year experience included nearly 15 years as General Manager of Lomak Road Maintenance Corp. managing the remote Kemess Mine haul road system in Northern BC. This was a large-scale road maintenance operation, our team provided support services to allow our parent company Lomak Bulk Carriers Corp. to reliably haul the ore concentrate to the Mackenzie rail load out.
We were responsible for keeping roughly 400 kms of remote resource roads open 24/7, year-round—handling everything from major washouts, bridge builds, road construction, summer & winter maintenance, fire fighting and avalanche clearing often in extreme conditions. That experience shaped how we operate today: reliable, practical, and built to handle real-world challenges.
